My Naturalness :)

I love my new naturalness!!! :)
not really new since december!
But I can't express the way I love my hair!!

I decided to cut all my hair off one day in December...my suitemate got the scissors and chopped those permed ends off!!

NOT A TEAR!!!!!!! lol I was very proud of myself!

I have friends who call me Erykah Badu and Jill Scott...all in fun!! But heyyy...they, both are FLYY doing their naturalness!!

Just one of the steps of LIBERATION!!!!

Love Yourself....

Another beautiful day in New Paltz....

I really didn't want to talk about my relationship troubles on here...but I wouldn't be truthful to myself if I didn't because the way I say somethings and act sometimes is a direct result of my relationship woes!!!

I am BITTER! I am the first to admit!

After the things I've been through in the last year, I've come to the conclusion--just because you're in love with a person doesn't mean you are meant to be together! (dont get it confused with MEANT TO BE!!!..thats a different story)

My breakup was suppose to be a BREAK!! Most know the term...the DREADED term! We both needed some space...I guess!

After months of being broken up...I'm such a better person because I've learned to love myself so much more. To change for me and no one else. To be more independent. Not to say I wasn't a great person before...lol!!! But I'm better now!!! :)

This BREAK was necessary...and I had to realize when my friend wrote a note on his facebook...and i loved this line "I had to realize that in order to grow together you must learn to grow individually."

That line was my inspiration for today's blog!

Sometimes we have to grow and learn more about ourselves and more importantly LOVE ourselves a little more before we engage in a relationship. Sometimes beyond our control we put our significant other over ourselves. I can attest to that!

YOU HAVE TO BE YOU'RE MAIN PRIORITY. Besides GOD...ofcourse!

Today, I woke up reading an email my mom sent me. Called "The Word for Today" and it was just the BEGINNING of A GREAT DAY!

Then I was walking back to my dorm and saw one of my friends...talking about the weather, talking about spring break and then talking about how the semester is going. He asked me how the semester was going...I said BLAHHHHHHH which is always my response to that question! He asked me WHY! I said its not the greatest but HEY IT COULD BE A LOT WORSE!!!

HEY IT COULD BE A LOT WORSE is my motivation for this blog.

Sometimes it rains but it doesn't rain forever!!!!! Thank God! I've gone through a WHOLE LOT of stuff this past year...and only GOD has brought me through!!!

College!

MY FIRST BLOG!!! :)

I thought my life was toooo uneventful to write a blog! But today after a rough day in class...I figured HEYY WHY NOT!!

My life is such a mess right now!! I don't know what I want to do with my life! School is stressful...I honestly would be surprised if I got a 3.0 this semester(and thats not great to me!!) I don't know if I want to be speech-language pathologist anymore, I want to do something that makes me happy but am scared if I switch my major, I won't graduate on time! (AND I'm not HAVING THAT!)

Right about now...the question on my mind is WHO MADE THE INSTITUTION CALLED COLLEGE? Cause I don't understand why we pay CRAZY AMOUNTS of $$$$ to get a degree that is the bare minimum to get an OCCUPATION. And even to get an occupation is a TASK....with this RECESSION we are in!!! Then we got to go to GRAD SCHOOL to get another DEGREEEEEE and spend some more $$$$$$$$$$!!!!! All I'm saying is all this college time BETTTER be worth ALL THE HASSLE AND STRESS IN MY LIFE. I better make 6 figures....OR SOMEONES GOING DOWN!!!! lol

OHHHHHHH WAIT...and one more thing!! I dont like that fact that drug dealers make MORE money then people who have college degrees!!! LOL RANDOM!!! But THATS ME!
